Rafael Alejandro Valencia, Degree Student.
Project Manager of MIND – Research Group

I am a last year student of Information Technology at Yachay Tech University. I graduated from the Spellman School of Quito – Ecuador, under the modality of General Unified Baccalaureate in science. I am currently in the 10th semester, I have been a research assistant for the development of a mobile application that uses route optimization using intelligent algorithms. I have done pre-professional practices in Mexico and Chile. In Mexico, I worked in INEEL’s artificial intelligence department, developing an optimization and decision-making program based on Markov decision processes. In Chile, I was at the University of Antofagasta, working on the optimization of simulations focused on reducing energy consumption in buildings. I have a knowledge of various programming languages like Matlab, C, C ++, Python, R and Bash script. I like research and participating in projects that allow me to contribute new scientific information. I joined the group driven by the idea of being part of a multidisciplinary group that unites several minds around the world in a single collaborative entity. Furthermore, this can help me grow as a person and as a researcher.
